Each year over the past 20 years, the AEON Foundation representing the charitable activities of the AEON Group of Companies in Malaysia, invites thousands of children to AEON malls across the country to shop for ‘baju raya’ and gifts for their loved ones. This programme involving approximately 2000 to 2500 recipients each year is repeated at every festive celebration from Chinese New Year to Christmas. However, with the need to accommodate the enforced movement control orders as well as protect the health of children against Covid19 this Hari Raya, AEON adjusted its Ramadan cheer programme this year by issuing 1000 single-parent families with a prepaid AEON Member Plus Card (AMP) worth RM300 per family to shop at any time at AEON malls nationwide.
