Urban poverty is defined as a lack of monetary ability to produce basic needs and studies show RM2,334 and below is considered urban poverty. 3.8% of the 77% urban population is having poverty. Convert it to numbers, it is around 1008,976 people.
Due to the data, Malaysian AEON Foundation introduced the URBAN PROVERTY SUPPORT PROJECT, also known as KAMI project. The aim is to provide greater opportunity for the community in terms of economics, social and education.
Objectives
- To formulate a new approach to enhancing the positive impact of our AEON Group CSR initiative.
- To connect and engage our people in sharing good values with the community.
- To provide greater opportunities for our people to participant in volunteer works.

313 participants (100 Families + 103 kids + 110 volunteers)
Zumba, gotong-royong, dengue talk, cooking, wellness, health check, recruitment booth, telematch, coloring contest, buy-back counter. Donation to the community.
