Kota Bharu, 18 May 2019 – Through MAF AEON Mesra programs, kicked-off a special nationwide Ramadan event at the AEON MALL Kota Bharu. This were then followed by similar treats at 11 AEON malls across the country too. AEON Mesra Ramadan this year had invited 570 children and 38 single mothers to shop for their baju raya with the help by employees from the AEON Group.  Each child (and single mother) was given allocation worth RM200 to shop for their raya outfits.  At a launch event at AEON MALL Kota Bharu, children were given the opportunity to shop and also join Foundation members to berbuka puasa besides receiving RM50 duit raya. Single mothers received a donation of RM100 plus Raya essentials such as rice, cooking oil and cookies. Another 8 AEON Stores and 3 AEON BiG outlets around Malaysia were hosted more than 400 children at malls and stores across the country. The children was each given allocation of RM200 to purchase new clothes and gifts from AEON AU2, AEON Wangsa Maju, AEON Bandar Dato’ Onn (JB), AEON Tebrau City (JB), AEON Taiping, AEON Bandaraya Melaka, AEON Queensbay, AEON Nilai, and RM150 at AEON BiG Section 23, Shah Alam, AEON BiG Puchong Utama Mall and AEON BiG Alor Setar. Some of these events pare also co-sponsored by AEON partners who have volunteered time and assistance towards the AEON Mesra Programme. The total of RM113,924.52 was donated during the event.
