PRIVACY POLICY PURSUANT TO PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2010

  1. The Malaysian AEON Foundation (MAF) is committed to protecting your privacy and will take the relevant measures to safeguard your personal information in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
  2. In compliance with the laws of Malaysia, you hereby consent and authorise MAF to collect, process, safe keep the required details and disclose your personal details to the related parties involved with MAF. Any withdrawal of your consent given shall be made in writing and received by MAF.
  3. MAF will not disclose your personal data to unaffiliated third parties without your consent. However, MAF may disclose your personal data if required by law or in good faith, if such action is necessary to comply with any law enforcement agency requirements, court orders, legal processes or auditors and professional advisories.
  4. Should there be any request to refund any donation, the Donor can contact us within fourteen (14) days:

  1. Efforts will be made to ensure that any Personal Data held by MAF is kept up-to-date and is protected against any loss, misuse, modification, unauthorised or accidental access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
  2. AEON may regularly review the security measures in safe keeping your Personal Data and only authorised staff of MAF who have been duly trained are allowed to handle the Personal Data.
  3. Any Personal Data supplied by you will be retained by MAF for a period MAF deems fit and necessary for the fulfilment of the Purposes or is required to satisfy legal regulatory, accounting requirements or to protect MAF’s interests (“the Retention Period”).

Upon expiry of the Retention Period and/or after MAF cease to process your Personal Data, MAF will take all necessary action to permanently delete and destroy your Personal Data.

  1. MAF reserves the right to omit, add or amend this policy at any time without prior notice. Any new or amended policy will supersede the existing policy. The policy herein shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
  2. By providing MAF with your Personal Data, you hereby consent to the processing of your Personal Data in accordance with all of the foregoing (“the Consent”).
